I just finished sending off the first week of twitter bounties for our winter twitter campaign.  You can check out the tweets and transaction details over on this page if you are interested.  Thanks to everyone that participated so far.

People have been looking for ways to spread the word about MOIN and the idea was suggested we could give away some MOIN to people who help raise awareness of the coin on Twitter!  It should be a lot of fun. Details are below.

Get on Twitter and start tweeting about MOIN.  Be sure to inlude $MOIN in your tweet so that we can find it and it is eligible for rewards.  Make sure you follow @MoinMovement and  @MoinCrypto and also be sure we can direct message you from the MoinMovement account for your wallet address payment details.  If you want to be really proactive you can send your wallet address for your rewards in a DM to @MoinMovement  whenever you want.

Time just slipped right past us and now here in the northern hemisphere it is winter.  Sorry not sorry for the lack of updates :-p .  Just been busy with work and whatnot.  But how are things in MOIN world?  Let's take a look. 

In September KingCaper relased the v1.1.0.1 update.  It is a recommended update so if you are still on the older version consider this a reminder to go ahead and update your wallet.  You can see the post on bitcointalk about the update by clicking here.

Did you know Moin had its first birthday!!??!?  Well it did! Happy birthday to MOIN! It has been over a year now since MOIN began its swap to the new chain.  Check out KingCaper's update to the community about the year here. Long live MOIN!

The blockchain continutes to run smoothly.  KingCaper recently dropped  a fresh bootstrap to help people synch faster.  The post with that is over here. 

Just wanted to remind everyone that you can get pretty sweet MOIN stickers right here on this website and pay in MOIN.  The stickers are 250 MOIN a piece and I'll ship them to you no matter where you are as long as it isn't some absurd expense.  More info about that over on the Sticker Page .  All MOIN collected goes to the Moin Foundation funnd.   The fund is looking pretty nice at this point.  If anyone has any ideas for other ways to raise MOIN for the foundation or even ways to use the MOIN we have raised give me a shout

Like the shoes say... Just do it.  So it's time to announce location and time for the first public Moin Movement meeting.  I didn't receive any feedback on what times would work for anyone so I figure I will just pick a time and see if anyone shows then continue from there.

 The meeting will be this Sunday, July 17th @ 2PM GMT.   Here is a countdown to the meeting to avoid time zone confusion.

Heyo!  Been a minute since I updated the webpage but I assure you it is not due to lack of things happening in the MOIN world.  Here is an update on what has been going down.

The switch to POSv3 has come and gone without much fanfare.  It seems that everything is working really well.  The rate of interest is now 10% which puts each reward right around 1.3 MOIN.  Check out KingCaper's post on it @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1237881.msg15067044#msg15067044

​King Caper, he is the MOIN developer for those that don't know, announce that he is working on a new feature for MOIN called proof of existence.  What this allows a person to do is create a permanent record on the blockchain which can prove a certain document existed at a date in time.  Check out his post which includes a short preview of the interface @ ​https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1237881.msg15409059#msg15409059

MOIN was listed on a new exchange called livecoin.net .  It is good when an altcoin gets listed on new exchanges because it exposes the coin to a new audience and can lead to arbitrage opportunities and higher liquidity within the altcoin market.  People interested in trading MOIN on ANY exchange should remember to use caution and realize that there is always a risk involved with sending your coins to a wallet you do not own the private key for.

 Time to get this second SSD raffled off.  It is identical to the first one in stats.  It is a Samsung 850 EVO 2.5" 250BG SATA 3 drive brand new in the box.   Check out the newraffle page for information about that.

It would be great to get more people directly involved with Moin Movement.  I would like to propose that we have a monthly Moin Movement Meeting where we can discuss ideas for projects and also just get to know each other as a community.  I do not have a date in mind for the first meeting yet but my intention is to talk to some of the community members, get a time that at least some can attend, and then announce the official time.  Will post again soon.

Since the last superblock has passed the MOIN developer has posted on the bitcointalk thread to engage the community in a discussion about the best way to conclude the swap phase.  You can see that post @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1237881.msg13930915#msg13930915 .  An idea for ending the swap that was not originally in the running is described @ ​https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1237881.msg13933572#msg13933572 .  Essentially it ends the swap over X period of time and reduces the swap rate proportionally until the swap value = 0 and the swap is over.  After a bit more discussion it has been suggested that the plan is to allow 10 more weeks for swapping with the rate of MOINV1 to MOIN being reduced until it is zero.  The next step is to set firm dates for these swap rate reductions and ultimately the end of the swap.  Feel free to join in the discussion @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1237881 or stop in at the #moin-crypto chatroom.
